If the pasta shells start sticking together before you’re ready to use them, try using any remaining pasta water to loosen them up - the starchiness of the pasta water helps the sauce cling to the pasta. Don't worry if you got rid of the pasta water or if they're too hot, you can rinse under cold water and it won’t make a huge difference!
